Hey guys :)

In keeping with the blog's new theme of #tbt posts (Throwback Thursdays), and also with last week's celebration of the often under-appreciated make-up artist,

today we highlight Ety Hercsik, MUA extraordinaire.

Ety is a UK-based, Hungarian-born make-up artist who works in London and wherever else she may happen to travel. Which, lucky for me, was Cape Town in March of last year.

She posted a call for models and photographers on ModelMayhem.com in the area for the dates she would be there. Guys, I can't stress how useful these fashion industry networking sites can be, especially for those on the freelance hustle like I have been.

Her dates happened to coincide with my own travel plans, so I got in touch and we decided on a day, time and place. Fresh off a 12-hour bus ride, I headed to Clifton Beach where we proceeded to frolic and shoot with Nazeem and Danica (read about that day here).

Some of the best shots:

She has done so much brilliant work on runway and theatre shows as well as countless shoots, which she shares on her social media pages (links at the end of the post). Not to mention, she still takes courses to improve her craft and frequently submits work to magazines, which I have also been working on.

I've picked a few of my favourite photos of her work, which of course only scratch the surface of her achievements.
