I applied to be a Busabout Europe Brand Ambassador. Travel to Europe for months making content, all expenses paid. The dream. But what about showcasing Africa as a dream destination away from safaris and volontourism/poverty porn?
It's something that stops people from doing things they want to over and over. I have nobody to go with. Or my friends/family/boyfriend/girlfriend can't or won't do this with me. Or I'm scared of being alone.
Well as always, I'm here to kill your excuses for not travelling!
I got on Skyscanner and it was revealed that to get to Nairobi, the cheapest departure point would be Rome. So there it was. 6:AM on a Tuesday - depart Barcelona for Roma.
Next stop on my Euro-trip is/was Barcelonaaaa. But yo, I was approaching home-time which meant the bank balance was starting to cry a little. But that's a terrible excuse to not enjoy an amazing city like this!
Well, week 2 of the great European adventure was a chill (bordering on lazy) one in Nice, and I regret nothing. À la prochaine fois, la Côte d’Azur!
Nothing I post will ever do any of the travelling justice. But a girl will try!
So Venice. Damn, homie.
Here's how I got from South Africa to Italy for €200 (R3600)
I have an exciting announcement! This time next week I shall be landing in Venice, Italy for a 3-week wander around Europe (Italy, France and Spain to be exact).
